Covid-19: Staying Safe in Class updated 19th July 2021

I’m looking forward to being able to see you in person as we move back to some face to face classes, you safety is a priority and I’ve provided a few guidelines here to help.

I will be following the latest guidance from the Government, British Wheel of Yoga and Sport England.

Please read the following guidance and contact me if you have any questions.

Guidance for face to face classes:

Please stay at home if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, someone in your household has symptoms, or if you have been advised to self isolate or be in quarantine after contact with someone who has had a positive COVID test.

Please notify me if there have been any changes in your health or wellbeing since you last attended a class.

If you, or someone you live with, are classed as vulnerable or extremely vulnerable please check with your doctor about whether it is suitable for you to return to yoga yet.

Class sizes will be capped depending on the hall size.

Please wear a mask whilst entering and exiting the hall and moving around the hall, including going to the toilet.  Masks will not be required once you are on your mat and in your allocated space unless you wish to wear one.

Please adhere to social distancing when waiting outside of the class and exiting. I will allocate you a space in which to place your yoga mat, mats will be 2m apart.

I will be at least 2m away from you and will not be moving around the room. There will be no hands on adjustments at this time.

No breathing practises that require us to breathe out with ‘force’ or through an open mouth e.g. sighing the breath through an open mouth.

Please bring your own mat and props, as we’re unable to share equipment. Do ask me if you need help sourcing equipment.

Please arrive in your kit to avoid using the toilets as a changing room.

Toilets will be open, one person at a time may use them, please remain socially distanced in the hallway. If door handles are used these will be sanitised with the spray provided in the hall.

Please use the sanitiser provided at entry/exit points.

Windows and or doors will remain open before and during class to ensure ventilation. Internal doors will remain open where possible to minimise contact.

The venue will be cleaned regularly.

As places are limited, payment by BACS in advance is required to secure your place.

A copy of the full Covid-19 risk assessment is available to students upon request.
